I feel understood now

Have a look at this article from Neuropsychology.

But their classifications seem to limited. In my experience there are four levels of sarcasm:

1. No sarcastic capabilities (e.g. children or people with prefrontal damage as mentioned in the article)

2. Slight sarcasm detection (if you exaggerate a topic that much that it's hardly sarcasm any more)

3. Advanced sarcasm skills (people that have grasped the general concept and are able to use and detect sarcasm in daily situations)

4. Excessive use of sarcasm. It's symptoms are the consistent use of sarcasm, irony and cynism as generic means of communication to a degree that it sometimes even overflows as an integer might overflow in C programming. You show symptoms of excessive sarcasm when even your straightforward statements in discussions are taken for sarcasm.
Only few people are able to reach level 4, but I'm pressing thumbs to everyone out there that you join me soon.

Telemarketer tarpit

Tarpiting is now a bit out fashioned when it comes to bulk mail, but it's extremely efficient against telemarketers. If you just hang up, they'll call the next person ten seconds later, but if you accept the call, pretent some ethusiam about the issue and tell them to wait a few seconds "so that you can take your cooking noodles off the stove"; leave the phone aside and continue your work they'll be bound for 4-5 minutes until they hang up for themselves. Well, except yesterday's moron from the "South German lottery" that needed 13:12 minutes until he realized I wouldn't come back...

I don't understand economics

I've just been putting some books I'll never read again for sale on Amazon. When I wanted to sell "Light years" by James Salter I stumbled over these offers:
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/tg/detail/offer-listing/-/3499224348/all/ref=ufu_lmi_/028-4660222-6203709
Three distinct offers for one Euro cent! Even if one takes into consideration that they make a few cents through the shipping margin Amazon gives to the seller, they can hardly make a profit with that...
